£100,000 Funding success for cycle training

Over £100,000 of funding has been secured to provide city youngsters with cycle training over the next three years across Stoke-on-Trent. Stoke-on-Trent City Council has recently received £104,000 funding from the Department for Transport with further funding approved until 2015 to provide cyclist training to over 2,500 children each year. NHS sign up for Safer Places scheme

The NHS and two private organisations have signed up to the council¿s Safer Places scheme to provide refuges for people in distress across the city. Stoke Council Agree 9% – £1000 Councillors Pay Rise

Stoke-on-Trent Labour led Council have this evening agreed to raise their own allowances by 9%, increasing their basic pay from £11,000 to £12,000, a rise of £1000 per year.
