Stoke-on-Trent Event: Hanley Christmas Lights switch on 2016

angel-564351_640Thousands are expected to attend a spectacular fireworks display, Christmas lights switch on and the opening of the Winter Wonderland in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent this Thursday – 17 November 2016.

The focus of the show, in Albion Square, will be a magical aerial performance of ‘The Christmas Dream Machine’ by Emergency Exit Arts, an enchanting adventure story told across the city’s six towns featuring an amazing lights projection stunning and fireworks display finale.

It’s Christmas Eve and like many children across Stoke-on-Trent, Ava is far too excited to go to sleep. So she settles down to read a book – The Christmas Machine.

It’s a start of a Christmas Eve adventure that takes her across the six towns of Stoke-on-Trent, in search of the magical Christmas Machine.

A machine so magical it not only produces Christmas presents for children within the city but also across the world.

The lights are scheduled to be switched on between 6.30pm and 7pm and is a partnership between Stoke-on-Trent City council, The City Centre Partnership, Appetite and Realis Estates, with parking Free in the city centre after 5pm on this day only on Stoke-on-Trent City Council car parks.
